Started on February 17, 2009, Hearthcast is a causal podcast for the fans of World of Warcraft. The hosts Rewt and Freckleface share their views on the game and how it affects the real world and World of Warcraft.
During my interview with Freckleface, we talk about her original fear of podcasting, how she and Rewt create discussion topics each week and how that difficult that can be during down part of the content cycle. Freckleface talks about her love of pet battles in Warcraft, as well as how her role has changed on Hearthcast over the years, and how to balance the work load between co-hosts. Episode 026: Nonmail on Nonmailsnutz
Starting
on November 4th 2012, Nonmail’s Nutz is a explicit short form Warcraft
podcast, normally only lasting 15-20 minutes. However Nonmail’s history
in podcasting goes back much further than that. Nonmail started out
listening to podcasts like Wowcohol
and he quickly started listening to more and more podcasts until he
found Rep Grind Radio, where he became a regular contributor. After a
few months of sending emails, he started his own segment call Nonmail’s
Nutz, which he eventually used for the name of this own podcast.
During our interview we talked about the novel Tides of War (I have included Nonmail’s original review of Tides of War after the credits). After talking about WoW novels, we talked about what its like to be a mailman, with hours to kill and how that lead to listening to podcasts. We mention how going to an Iron Maiden concert in 1983 makes some podcasts hard to listen too. We delve into his secret life as an Elvis impersonator, what it is like delivering mail around EPSN headquarters, and everything else you have come to expect out of a History of Warcraft podcasting interview.
After
being a guest on one of the final episodes of Rep Grind Radio before
its shutting down, Nonmail moved his segment to Rez's new show The Eviscerated Gaming Podcast.
Since starting his own podcast Nonmail continues to do segments for
Eviscerated Gaming Podcast, all be it a little shorter than the original
ones.

Episode 025: Pride of But Wait! There's Lore
Started on May 9th, 2009, on WoW Radio, But Wait! There's Lore is the longest continuously active Warcraft Lore podcast. Following the end WoW Radio in January of 2010, But Wait! There’s Lore became a youtube podcast, broadcasting live on Nordrassil radio.
Pride, the owner and creator of But Wait! There's Lore has been with the show since the beginning. During our interview, Pride talks about getting his start in internet radio as a Naruto forum troll.
After getting his feet wet there, Pride talks about joining the Scrolls of Lore community and applying to WoW radio to fill their spot for a lore podcast.
Pride and I talks about how our perspective of the lore has changed from outsiders to someone that does it for podcast, as well as our thoughts on the books, other lore podcasts, Pride's Illidan theory, and Chris Metzen.
Pride talks is great detail about the end of WoW radio, finding out at Blizzcon 2009, and the meeting with Athalus that would lead to Athalus becoming CEO of OMFG.fm. We talk about the rise and fall of OMFG. Pride’s perspective on Emperor being fired form OMFG and how that affected OMFG, how shows were handled, and the lessons learned from that time.
Finally we talk about Pride’s move to Youtube, working with Jesse Cox, and Prides long term goals.

Episode 024: Wemb of Bind on Equip
This
week I'm joined by Wemb of the Bind on Equip Podcast. Bind on Equip was
started on November 16, 2008 with just Wemb and Wych, after Episode 3
they quickly added Tempest to the mix. Another thing that changed in
those first few shows was the name of the podcast.
In this episode find out the original name of Bind on Equip. Hear about the lessons Wemb learned while doing his TV podcast Cable Wasteland, what the story is behind episode 13, and how did that lead to the Bind on Equip Network. Also we look behind the scenes to hear the history with Totalbiscuit and Bind on Equip.
We spent time talking about the next Warcraft Expansion, and Titan. What is the story behind the Pants on Head Guild? What is it like to podcast with friends and family? Will there always be a World of Warcraft? Where did the Sunglasses of Justice come from? And much more. It was truly a pleasure to have Wemb on.
